Pretty good food. Slow service.

This place is exactly what it's supposed to be. It's a laid back place on campus to grab a beer and a bite to eat in between classes
Todd Anderson
Really interesting beer selection, decent fish tacos, good place to get some work done. Nice valley view from outdoor seating. Plenty of power outlets upstairs.
Alex Dracup
Decent beer selection.
Ilya Valmianski
Best burger on campus.

Went there for a soccer women's game and it was very refreshing to see a microbe your and plus your food place to get something to eat and drink very clean very nice

Good spot, pricing is a bit high without any deals, has a decent happy hour

Always enjoy watching softball games from the balcony. Good selection of beer and good food to go with it.

Food was not great, not horrible either though. Some fries were undercooked, others were basically crackers. Bacon and beef in burger were slightly burnt.
Travis Downing
Solid craft beer selection in a nice setting. Take in a ballgame from the patio

Prices are hefty but the food is very good. Get the tuna sandwich!

After walking all over this expansive campus looking at the cool buildings and trying to find the sculptures, we were in the need for a break and spotted this place that sells beer. Had an excellent Blue Cheese Burger and a great craft brew. My buddy had a Cesar salad that wasn't that exciting but then again it was a Cesar salad, not the most exciting choice to make.

Great space, burgers, and brew

The best burger on campus. Not really any competition though.

As one of only a handful of eateries that serves beer on the UCSD campus, it has great potential. But the high prices and slow kitchen really kill the fun. You can wait up to 15+ minutes to get fries and a burger.
Chris Armstrong
Decent selection of beer, average food, average service. Great location.

A bit pricey I think. about $16 for a burger, fries, and a soda is a bit much for what I received..Portions and quality were good, but not for the price. Would I eat there again, sure, as I'm on campus. but not frequently.Location was clean, staff friendly. Not the speediest place to eat. It was not busy by any means....maybe 5 people, but took quite some time to get my food....i think about 20min or so. It was long enough, that I was starting to look at my watch, and concerned my 1hr lunch gap would not be long enough.

Ever since the remodel/rebrand the food has gotten way better. Reasonably priced and very tasty. I go here here to eat and watch soccer when I have some down time. Super good vegetarian options, and the food comes out quickly.

Fun place to go

Friendly staff, good food, and a fairly diverse beer selection. I recommend the tri tip sandwich and an IPA.

They've recently revamped the place and it's a little pricey for what it is. Wait times can be long and they never seem to have their act together when all you're wanting is a beer. I'm here frequently, but that's only because there's nowhere else in this corner of UCSD's campus.

Fair amount of beers. Burgers are fine too

Great food, good selection of beers reasonable price.

Love this place. Chris just came in as the executive chef and he is absolutely killing it. Came here for pint night and they had bite sized food pairings with them. Most actual bars don't boast as wide of a beer selection as here. 20 craft beers on tap with something for everyone to enjoy. A few IPA's for the masses yet they also carry blondes, saisons, and pilsners. With the beer selection and food now, I'd choose this place over most anywhere else. On campus or off

Best place for beer at UCSD

Decent place to meet up with small to large groups of friends. I checked this place out twice with 10-15 people and we were able to arrange a large table on the second floor. There is a decent selection of food and beer so do not be afraid to bring your veggie and gluten free friends along.I got a caprese sandwich, and while I would have preferred the martini or its urbanity, the sandwich served its purpose. The portions were Goldilocks sized; leaving me neither too full nor too empty. When your order is up they call your name, its a little difficult to hear from the top floor, so if you do have a large group it's a good idea to get someone to wait on the bottom floor and act as a server.Overall its a selfservice/10

Ah college life! Home Plate is a chill place. I visited as a guest and had a great experience. The prices are fair and the food is good; they also serve beer. Lucky college students!
